Angry Inuk

I went to the screening of Angry Inuk tonight. It gave a strong glimpse into Inuit dependency on seal-hunting and the skewed campaigns of animal activist groups pushing to ban seal hunting; campaigns of which capitalize on images of whitecoat baby seals. Whitecoat hunting has been illegal since 1987 and they are not hunted by Inuit people. Campaigns use the image of the crying seal pup to harbour large campaign incomes, hence turning a blind eye to those that depend on seal as their sole income.
