evening in Olympia, Washington and feeling calm. the day was half insane. Started Beautiful along the Olympia Peninsula. Though the battery be completely new, the bike died somewhere on the 101; wasn’t charging. Waited three hours for the tow to rescue and take us to a dealer in Olympia- a bike shop an hour and a half away. The verdict wasn’t great: she requires a new stator (alternator) and rectifier, and will amount to a bill of $1100. The bike will be ready on Tuesday (5 days!).
I laugh now because i am calm and I get to spend the days in wait in with beloved friends in Oregon. Oh, it a’int so bad. I told my ma I wouldn’t crash, and I didn’t.
